I’m a midwest gal who moved to the Pacific Northwest about 13 years ago. Early on, I put my career on “temporary” haitus while raising 3 children with a husband on the corporate fast track (i.e. not home very often).
Looking back, I have zero regrets! But I will say that my life was very focused on everything but myself. Kids, husband and home were my priorities. My roles were clear. Life was comfortable. Maybe too comfortable.
Time marches on. Kids grow up. Age happens. In my mid-40’s, it hit me like a ton of bricks that I really had no big new goals ahead of me. I had really become a ‘go along get along’ kind of person that just let life happen to me as it came.
Even worse, my habits (especially around health) were not helping me in the long run. I realized that I didn’t know how to shift my mindset to become a person who could actually change and grow.
The inertia of my past (both good and bad) was continuing to dominate my life. I wanted to change in ways that were both challenging and inspiring to me, but I just couldn’t get traction.
But I committed to figuring it out. The prospect of just floating along for the rest of my life not only seemed boring, but unhealthy. So I got busy. Real busy.
Over a 5 year period, I discovered and deeply applied 3 different game-changing programs that completely transformed my life.
